Jamil Baloch

This is another simple yet stunning work by Baloch, done with the surprising medium of spray-paint on paper. It is an abstract composition showing rows of squarish shapes in different opacities. Overlapping each other, these squares dance a lively dance of light and shadow on the surface. They could be a city at night or structures made out of stone. Baloch’s tremendous skill as a sculptor and his understanding of materiality comes across in his works on paper.
